These Terms are specific to the current Android writing app and its published feature set.
Acceptance and scope
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of AI Grammar Checker & Rewriter, published by The Language Engine. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
App functionality
The App provides AI-assisted grammar correction, spelling and punctuation review, sentence rewriting, email improvement, essay and paragraph assistance, tone changes, dictionary information, vocabulary and English-learning tools, recent work and related writing utilities.
AI output limitations
Corrections, rewrites, definitions, examples, tone suggestions and other AI-assisted results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, awkward or unsuitable for the intended context.
You are responsible for reviewing output before using, publishing, submitting or relying on it.
High-stakes content
Do not rely solely on the App for legal, financial, medical, safety-critical, regulatory or other high-stakes decisions. Obtain qualified professional advice where appropriate.
Academic integrity
The App can assist with essays, assignments and educational writing, but users are responsible for complying with school, university, examination, employer or publisher rules concerning AI assistance, plagiarism, citation and original work.
User content
You are responsible for text and other content you submit to the App. You must have the right to use that content and must not knowingly submit unlawful, infringing, abusive or unauthorized confidential material.
You retain the rights you already have in your own content. Processing rights necessary to provide the requested App functionality are limited to what is reasonably required to operate the relevant feature and supporting services.
Dictionary and language information
Definitions, synonyms, antonyms, examples, pronunciation guidance, collocations, word origins and other language information are provided for general educational and writing assistance. Language usage varies by region, context, profession and style.
Advertising
The App contains advertising. Advertising format, frequency, provider and availability may change over time subject to platform policies, applicable law and the App’s configuration.
Recent work
Recent-work functionality is provided as a convenience and should not be treated as permanent archival storage. Users should keep their own copies of important text and documents.
Acceptable use
You must not use the App to facilitate unlawful conduct, fraud, harassment, impersonation, malicious automation, copyright infringement, academic dishonesty contrary to applicable rules, or other harmful activity. You must not attempt to bypass technical restrictions, damage the App or interfere with its services.
Third-party services
The App may rely on Google Play, Google advertising services, Firebase and other infrastructure or AI-related service providers. Those services may have their own terms, availability limits and privacy practices.
Intellectual property
The App’s software, branding, interface, original design and publisher materials are owned by or licensed to TENBYTES SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS (PRIVATE) LIMITED / The Language Engine, except for third-party materials identified separately.
You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms and Google Play rules.
Availability and changes
We may improve, modify, add, restrict or discontinue features for product development, security, legal compliance, provider changes or technical reasons. AI services and online features may occasionally be unavailable.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without a guarantee that every correction, rewrite, definition, recommendation or service result will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from reliance on AI output, lost text, missed errors, academic or professional consequences, third-party service interruptions or misuse of the App. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary for serious abuse, fraud, security risk, legal requirements or discontinuation of the service.
Google Play
Your download and use of the App may also be subject to Google Play’s applicable terms and policies. Google controls the Play Store distribution platform and related account functionality.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when App functionality, AI services, advertising, legal requirements or platform policies materially change. The effective date will be updated when revised Terms are published.
